250g cream cheese block, chopped
1/4 cup Greek Style yoghurt
1/4 cup store bought caramelised onion or relish
1 1/2 tbs French onion soup mix
150g fresh bocconcini or mozzarella, torn into pieces
2tbs finely grated parmesan
Finely sliced chives and chips/crackers to serve - Salt and vinegar chips work crazy well here.
Preheat oven to 220C.
Place cream cheese, yoghurt, caramelised onion, soup mix and 100g of the bocconcini in the bowl of a food processor and whiz until smooth and combined. Transfer to a 4 cup capacity baking dish. Scatter with parmesan and remaining bocconcini and bake for 12 minutes towards the top of the oven. Scatter with chives and serve warm with chips or crackers for dipping.
